"A little known fact in his life was his arrest on 11 September 1924. Every September 11 is commemorated in Catalonia Catalan National Day, which marked the defeat of the Catalans in 1714 by the Spanish troops, since then a free nation, became Spanish territory, in that suffering time, banning the Catalan language and culture, plus starting a planned and unstoppable ethnical substitution. Even now, every 11th September in Catalonia, many Catalans take he streets to demonstrate for recognition of our rights as a people. 
 That 11th September 1924 celebrated a religious gathering in memory of the Catalans who fell in that war and Antoni Gaudi was there too."
